After mitigation, the adaptation strategy

Agriculture is very sensitive to climate changes, and if some mitigation strategies are necesary to limit the climate modifications in the future, adaptation strategies have to be already implemented, which cost might be less than mitigation itself.

In the PICCMAT project, adaptation will be introduced in the Policy recommentations work package, in order to confront the recommendations on mitigation options to a completely different strategy.

A paper on the links between Adaptation and Mitigation has been prepared by the University of Copenhagen and the Aarhus University. This paper is available here.
